Design & Development Associates have recently secured approval for a two storey side extension & a rear single storey extension.

The client wanted to create additional habitable space for an enlarged kitchen, downstairs living space and new bedrooms at first floor level. The client had previously engaged another local architect to produce plans but unfortunately failed to deliver the client’s dream design.

We were recommended to undertake a new planning application and on undertaking a consultation with the client their preferred design quickly became apparent. We were instructed to prepare the plans and our initial proposal was as per the client’s wishes. We promptly submitted these plans and they were subsequently approved without alteration by the local authority.

Once approved, Design & Development Associates were also instructed to prepare the working drawings. This compromises of a structural engineers design and a building regulation plan produced by the architect which is then checked by Building Control.

Construction on site is due to start in the summer and we look forward to seeing this site being built over the coming months.
