The client was first seeking to extend their kitchen into the existing sunroom to create an open-plan kitchen diner. Going across the width of the kitchen will be bi-fold doors leading onto the garden, this will bring in nature and light into the downstairs part of the dwelling. The client also asked for an additional extension to the side of the property to gain a garage and W/C. The garage will allow the occupants to have additional off-road parking. Upstairs the client was looking to extend the house over the new kitchen diner to create a master bedroom, ensuite, and Juliet balcony looking over the garden. These changes will give the existing dwelling a more contemporary appearance
We undertook a detailed measured site survey of the property and produced detailed existing floor plans and elevations to show the council their current arrangement. Once complete we designed the new extensions and produced detailed floor plans and elevations to show the council the proposed changes. These were then submitted to the Borough Poole Council as a householder planning application and were subsequently approved within 8 weeks of submission.
