Design & Development Associates have secured planning permission for four new dwellings in Castle Lane West, Bournemouth.
The applicant approached us after securing a retrospective planning permission for two flats at the neighbouring property at 214 Castle Lane West and wanted to demolish the existing bungalow and build 4 x 2 bedrooms flats.
Design & Development Associates under took a pre-application for the scheme and met the planning officer in person to discuss the proposal and establish the scope of development. The pre-application response was positive and a full planning application was prepared. As part of the full planning application, Design & Development Associated instructed Pure Town Planning to produce a detailed Design & Access Statement to accompany our architectural drawings.
The application was submitted and the principal of the design was approved by the planning officer. There was some negotiation required due to the proximity of the bus stop for vehicular access arrangements but these were resolved by a different design of the splay.
The application was approved and the applicant is seeking to start works early in 2016.
