Design & Development Associates have recently secured planning approval for a retrospective planning application for a single storey extension in Canford Heath.
The clients were notified that the eaves height of the extension was higher than the existing eaves height of the main dwelling, meaning that the proposal would not fall under permitted development legislation. Due to this technicality, a retrospective householder planning application was required.
Design & Development Associates were appointed by recommendation to prepare the architectural drawings for the extension and liaise with the council to ensure the extension was lawful. After quickly preparing the architectural drawings, the application was submitted and talks began with the council to bring this matter to a successful outcome.
Daniel Rainback of Design & Development Associates said ‘This is a great result for the client who wanted certainty that the works undertaken on site were lawful. This approval has allowed my client to move forward with confidence. I am thrilled to be able to assist in this matter.’
Since the approval we have also been instructed to prepare architectural drawings for some additional amendments to the extension, which we no doubt will bring to a successful conclusion.
