Design & Development Associates have recently secured approval for a two storey extension and a Certificate of Lawful Development for a single storey side extension.

The client approached us through recommendation to design both a single storey side extension and a two storey side extension.

On our initial consultation our architectural designers deduced that the single storey extension could be constructed under permitted development, while the two storey extension required a planning application.

We prepared both applications and submitted to Bournemouth Borough Council for review. The application for the single storey extension was approved and the council asked for a change to the two storey extension to amend the window design. We promptly amended to the councils request and the scheme was approved under delegated powers.

Construction on site is due to start in the summer and we look forward to seeing this site being built over the coming months.
